Since 2009, Salman Khan has booked the occasion of Eid to release a new film of him every year. But he missed Eid 2013 as Chennai Express, starring Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, was released on that occasion. In Eid 2014, Salman is back with another action film, Kick which was produced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, also starring Randeep Hooda, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in main roles. This Eid 2016, Salman Khan wooded his fans with another blockbuster, Sultan. Currently, he is busy shooting for “Tubelight”, his next to be released on Eid next year.

10. Bhool Bhulaiyaa – Eid 2007
It is a superhit, psychological thriller horror and comedy film, starring Akshay Kumar, released on 12th October, 2007 on the occasion of Eid. The film also stars Ameesha Patel, Shiney Ahuja and Akshay Kumar. Rajpal Yadav and Paresh Rawal were also seen in pivotal supporting roles. It received a lot of positive reviews and great box office success.
9. Kidnap – Eid 2008
Starring Imran Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Malvade and Minissha Lamba, Kidnap is the thriller film released on Eid, i.e. October 2, 2008. It received usually poor reviews from the critics but it worked better than Drona by Goldie Bahl (starring Priyanka Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan) that was released on same date.
8. Wanted (Eid 2009)
Here our favorite Salman Khan makes an entry can booked Eid for years to come. On September 18, 2009, Salman delivered a superhit film after a long time. Directed by Prabhu Deva, Wanted is a crime action thriller which became second highest grossing film of the year 2009.
7. Dabangg (Eid 2010)
Salman gave yet another blockbuster again on Eid 2010, Dabangg. Produced by his brother Arbaaz Khan and directed by Abhinav Kashyap, the action film was released on September 10, 2010. It is not Salman Khan’s rowdy Police officer avatar which was the center of attraction. Sonakshi’s debut opposite Salman also made a great presence. It is the highest grossing film in the year 2010. It is the fourth top grossing Bollywood film till date, as of 2012. It has won a lot of awards and nominations, along with National Film Award for Best Film offering Complete Entertainment.
6. Bodyguard (Eid 2011)
Salman brought a romance action film on Eid 2011, named “Bodyguard”. Featuring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles, Bodyguard was produced by Atul Agnihotri. The film successfully broke several records on its released. It went on the opening to become the highest grossing film along with the biggest grosser till date for the single day. In 2011, it was the highest grossing film and third highest grossing in 2012.
5. Ek Tha Tiger (Eid 2012)
Ek The Tiger was one of the biggest hits in the year 2012 released on August 15, 2012. It coincides with Independence Day and Eid in India. The spy action thriller film starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif became the 4th top grossing film of all time and exceeded by 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3 and Chennai Express. It is the top grossing film in 2012.
4. Chennai Express (Eid 2013)
This time, King Khan ruled the box office and celebrated Eid by releasing action comedy film, Chennai Express, directed by Rohit Shetty. Featuring Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, Chennai Express was released on August 8, 2013 during Eid. Chennai Express has won several awards and became the highest grossing film in India.
3. Kick (Eid 2014)
Salman has made entry yet again after two years with action film Kick, as devil. Produced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, Kick features Salman Khan, Randeep Hooda, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles. It is the official remake of Telugu film and it was released on July 25, 2014.
2. Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Eid 2015)
Also starring Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was released on Eid 2015. Salman Khan and Kabir Khan worked together again in this venture, after Ek Tha Tiger in 2012. It is a drama film written by K.V. Vijayendra Prasad and produced by Rockline Venkatesh and Salman Khan. The film also has child artist Harshaali Malhotra who performed really well with her expressions.
As Bajrangi, Salman played a passionate devotee of Lord Hanuman, a Hindu deity. He is on the journey to take a 6-year-old mute Pakistani girl at home in Pakistan. She was separated from her parents in India. He takes her back to her hometown against all odds. The budget of the film was 90 Cr and the main photography started in November 2014. Aseem Mishra was behind cinematography and Rameshwar S. Bhagat was the editor. The music was composed by Pritam and Julius Packiam scored the background music.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan was nominated for Best Film and Salman as Best Actor in 61st Britannia Film fare Awards along with other categories and earned Film fare Award for Best Story. The film begged National Film Award for Best Popular Film offering Complete Entertainment.
1. Sultan (Eid 2016)
It is a romantic sports drama film released on July 2016 produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films and the film stars Salman Khan as the lead character off Anushka Sharma. The film is based on a Haryanvi wrestling champion, Sultan Ali Khan, whose personal life gets compromised by his successful career.
Released on July 6, 2016 worldwide and grossed around Rs. 584 Cr across the world, Sultan is the 4th highest grossing film in India of all time. In October 2015, the pre-production of the film was started when he posted the picture of his character on social media. The important photography was started by JW Marriott Mumbai and N.D. Studios, Karjat in December 2015 where the first schedule of the film was done. The first schedule completed by the end of December 2015. The second schedule started on January 2016 where he shot action sequences. The song was choreographed by Farah and filmed in early March 2016. The action sequences between Salman and Anushka was also filmed and some of the sequences have Jama Masjid and other attractions in Delhi.
The film collected around 206 Cr. in first weekend, as the first fastest grossing Indian film in first weekend. As of August 3, 2016, the film has collected up to Rs. 416 Cr in India and around $24 million overseas. This way, the overall collection of the film was Rs. 584 Cr worldwide.
