The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are based in Tampa, Florida and they are a professional American football club. They currently compete in the national football league south division, which means, they have some of the best players on their list. It has been in the NFL since 1976. For years, they were a laughing stock of the NFL as they rarely made it to anywhere. During their inception in 1976, they lost 0-14. In 1996, the likes of Tony Dungy joined and tried to revive the dying franchise and immediately the Tampa 2 defense was installed. He joined the franchise in 1981 and exited at 1989. For the 9 years, he was one of the best right back that the Tampa Bay managed to have. In 1984, he was a Pro Bowl selection. He finished 2,229 yards and was ranked first in the Buccaneers history in receptions and rushing yards. In 1984r, James Wilder set an NFL  record for 407 carriers, and 492 touches in a single season. He was one of the toughest running backs.

He joined Tampa Bay in 1988 and left in 1999. In the 12 years he played with the franchise, he was one of the best offensive linemen at the franchise. He was a starter from the time he joined until he departed. At Tampa Bay, he is ranked as the third best starter of all times. He started in 183 games and he is a proud two-time All-Pro. In 1997, he saw his team reach the playoffs. He was inducted in the Tampa Bay Ring of Honor in 2012.

Between 2001 and 2005, Rice records double-digit sacks, something no other Bucs have ever done. He had 11, 15.5, 15, 12, and 14 sacks respectively. In 2002, he made it to the Pro Bowl and in 2003 and 2004, he was named an All-Pro of the seasons.
