Our dear old scientist Hank Pym returns! Ant-Man and the Wasp is the sequel of 2015 blockbuster Ant-Man directed by Peyton Reed. The super duper superhero film was based on Marvel Comics characters Hank Pym and Scott Lang with Pym as the Ant-Man and Lang analogous to his pupil. Though the plot details of 2018 sequel have not been announced yet, Michael Douglas has confirmed to return in the character of Pym.

9. Transformers: Bumblebee Spin-Off

Transformers: Bumblebee Spin-Off

Our very own and sweet little yellow Bumblebee has finally got his voice, not in the voice box but with an entire film dedicated to his character. As the word broke out, this film would be a spin-off and not the sixth part of Transformers, the 10th highest grossing science fiction series based on the Transformer toy line created by America-based Hasbro and Japanese company Takara Tomy. The series is based on the battles between two groups – Autobots and Decepticons with Bumblebee acting as a scout. Though first five of the series were directed by Michael Bay, he has resigned in order to take a break from the fictional universe of robots.

You’d have wondered what did happen of the three Kaiju left in the end of 2013 release Pacific Rim, a remarkable battle between the humans and the Kaiju that hooked everyone to their theatre seats, teens and adults alike. Well, some curiosity has its answer. Maybe that’s why director Guillermo del Toro stood firm at his decision of creating the sequel even when Universal Pictures delayed the film. However, the director of Pacific Rim: Uprising was changed to Steven S. De Knight. Word is also there about three new Jaegers being created, the gigantic humanoid mechans for fighting with Kaiju.

Get ready to explore the thrilling underwater world with Warner Bros’ Aquaman set to release next year. This much awaited superhero drama is directed by James Wilson and features Atlantean actress Amber Heard along with the Game of Thrones actor James Momoa in lead roles. According to reports, Nicole Kidman is said to play the mother of Aquaman portrayed by Momoa. Though this will be first DC solo Aquaman film, there are already millions of fans of this comic character published by DC Comics.

6. The Predator

With onset of March 2017, the cinematographer Larry Fong tweeted the commencement of production of The Predator. It is the fourth film in Predator franchise of American science fiction horror film series produced by 20th Century Fox; this time under the direction of Shane Black. With special effects designed by Stan Winston and new cast Alfie Allen, the Game of Thrones actor, the film is expected to cross the ratings of the previous three films, Predator, Predator 2 and Predators; it promises to be a hard R-rated film though.

Animation fans get set for another action-packed drama by Parr family also known as the ‘Supers’. Passing over a decade after The Incredibles topped the charts in 2004, Pixar Animation Studios is coming up with its sequel. Though the plot details are yet to be announced, most of the voice cast is almost the same like Samuel Jackson voicing as Frozone. Also, the film will be written and directed by Brad Bird who was also the director of first film.

Catch your breath as the young hero Thomas strive to free the city from the grip of the deadly disease The Flare. Based on The Maze Runner novel series written by James Dashner, The Death Cure is the third film in series after The Maze Runner and The Scorch Trials. The dystopian action thriller will be directed by Wes Ball with its screenplay by T.S. Nowlin. The lead Thomas will apparently be played by the actor Dylan O’Brien.

T’Challa played by Chadwick Boseman is the name given to Black Panther, or the prince of Wakanda. Black Panther, which is a character based on Marvel Comics would be eighteenth of the films produced by Marvel Cinematic Universe. The much awaited American superhero film would be directed by Ryan Coogler who will also share the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole.

Avengers Infinity War is said to be a plot mix of Iron Man, Spider Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange, which makes it even more intriguing. The movie stars many senior actors including Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, who also starred in award winning 2016 blockbuster Captain America: Civil War also based on Marvel Comics.

Now the director James Cameron of that 2009 chartbuster is set to release its sequel and as he quotes “It won’t be something you’ve ever seen”. As the reports got out, the cast is planning to shoot some sequences of the film in Challenger Deep which is seven miles under water and the deepest underwater location on Earth!
